SMS Text Message Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy explains how South Dayton Top Soccer ("we," "us," or "our"), a registered 501(c)(3) non-profit youth soccer program, collects and uses information in connection with our SMS (text message) notification program. It supplements any general privacy practices of our organization.
We do not sell, rent, or share your mobile phone number or SMS opt-in information with any third parties or affiliates for their marketing or promotional purposes. Mobile opt-in data and consent are never shared with third parties for marketing.
Information we collect
When you opt in to our text program, we collect your mobile phone number and the name provided during registration. We collect this information only when you voluntarily provide it and consent to receive text messages.
How you opt in
Parents and guardians opt in while registering a player through our online registration form (hosted on the GoSports registration platform, linked from this website) by selecting "Yes, please send me text updates." Opting in is optional and is not required to register a player.
How we use your information
We use your mobile number solely to send one-way informational text messages related to our soccer program, such as weather and field cancellations, schedule changes, and event logistics (for example, picture day). We do not use it for marketing or promotional purposes, and we do not send third-party advertising.
Message frequency
Message frequency varies and is low — typically fewer than 10 messages per year.

Message and data rates may apply. These charges are set by your mobile carrier and are your responsibility.
Opting out and getting help
You can cancel the SMS service at any time by replying STOP to any message. After you send STOP, we will send you a confirmation and will stop sending text messages. For help, reply HELP or contact us using the information below.
Data retention
We retain your mobile number only for as long as you remain opted in to the program or as needed for our program records. If you opt out, we remove your number from active messaging lists.
Children's privacy
Our text program is intended for parents and guardians (adults) of participating players, not for children. We do not knowingly enroll minors' mobile numbers in the program.
